My interests center on the social history of forests in modern Mexico. Specifically, I investigate the reciprocal relationship between rural communities and scientific management projects.

I'm also co-editor (with Lise Sedrez) of a new book series called "Latin American Landscapes" published by the University of Arizona Press. You can find more about it in the "Websites" section.
